Our owner and inspector, Chris Burnett, grew up in Old Town Alexandria and currently lives in Mount Vernon with his wife and two children. Chris graduated from Gonzaga High School in Washington DC and then studied geology and engineering at Clemson University in South Carolina. He graduated in 1993. In his spare time, you will find him at the beach or on sports fields enjoying his kid's soccer, lacrosse, or tennis matches.

 

Chris has been a part of the construction and engineering field for over 20 years, previously having been employed with Bowman Consulting Group, one of the leading engineering firms in the area. He is a certified professional soil scientist, an alternative on-site soil evaluator, and a certified geothermal installer. Professionally trained and certified by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute, he has passed the National Home Inspectors Examination and is state licensed in Virginia and Maryland. Chris is also a certified member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNachi).
